I'm sure EMF is all around us and that every day people are being exposed to it. Maybe you're on a mobile phone on the bus or your daily commute and have the tinnitus that accompanies it. Or perhaps you have a headset on at work and don't realize that there are ways to protect yourself from it. The best way to go about doing this is to test your home. Why do I suggest this?
There are two reasons. First off, if you work in an office building, you need to be aware of the number of people walking around and how much they are walking over time. In turn, this will also attract more RF energy and thus more EMF radiation. I'm not saying you should run out and buy an EMF monitor but rather use what you have to reduce your exposure. This can be as easy as changing the lighting in your office, reducing any glare, or dimming the lights when you're not using them. Not only will you be protecting yourself from EMF radiation, but you'll be helping to keep the office building's budget from exploding.
Secondly, do you test for EMF exposure at your home? You should. If you don't have a protective device, then every time you contact EMF, you are emitting dangerous radiation. This is especially true for people who often work from homes, such as freelancers and contractors.
EMF is so high it is undetectable by humans, but there are things to look out for. To start with, you need to avoid turning on your computer when you leave your home, even just briefly. You don't want to take the chance of setting off your computer's microphone. This can easily double your radiation exposure.
When using your cell phone, make sure it has a headset to block out other frequencies. Make sure you get to know your carrier well. Cell phone usage has increased exponentially in recent years. The newest phones offer technology to block the use of many other frequencies. Still, keep your cell phone usage down as much as possible if you want to reduce your exposure.
It is important to note that while using your cell phone gives off electromagnetic frequencies, it is safe to still communicate via a standard telephone. Some cell phone manufacturers have introduced a device known as a phone cradle which prevents the phone from being used when it is not in use. Your chances of reacting to the radiation from a cell phone are reduced dramatically.
